Blackjack

A tournament scoring system that rewards both hard fighting and playing the scenario.

Blackjack is a way of scoring Kings of War tournaments. It rewards attrition — how much of the enemy army you destroy — alongside scenario play, which is how well you score the objectives each game is built around. The idea is that you have to do both well to come out on top, rather than just smashing the other army or just camping objectives.

This page has the resources you need to add Blackjack scoring to your own tournament. Grab the ruleset and the organiser guidance below, and you're set to run it.

Enter a game's result and this works out each player's round score the Blackjack way — round base, plus a scenario bonus, plus an attrition bonus, on a 0–21 scale. It matches the version 4 score matrix exactly. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
